Well I am back. It has been intense. What with closing down Sea Greens' boardwalk location for the summer season, I have missed the blog.

I am making tomato sauce the Italian way for the winter months. Long hours on the stove, fresh herbs and sometimes even carrots. It's cooking right now. Although the tomato blight was all over the state and devastating in Monmouth County, somehow my one plant gave me a profusion of tomatoes. My neighbor's didn't make it.

For the next few days I'll be focusing on grains, delicious grains that taste good. I will share my newest test recipes next week. Kamut, wheatberries, quinoa, large couscous and more.
Oh yes, sorry that I can't seem to get over the seedless watermelon versus melon with seeds. I got a message from an authority (hum) who stated that just because a seedless watermelon is hybridized does not necessarily mean that it is genetically modified. Nutritionally they are the same.
